Also known as Amelia Earhart lookout, this is the first stop of Ohana Circle Island tour. Amelia Earhart lookout is the highest point reachable on Diamond Head crater with no need of a hike. This beautiful lookout near Diamond Head State Monument overlooks the clear blue water where Amelia Earhart gained reputation as the first person to solo flight from Hawaii to north America. Directly below, surfers can be seen hitting small to medium waves at one of the most legendary surf locations on Oahu. When peering the other way around, the crater can be seen from below. Considered a defining element of Oahu’s skyline, Diamond Head is estimated to be about 400.000 to 500.000 years old.
